Learner Information Suite (LIS) ------------------------------- The Microsoft® Access database files (installed or exported) for the current academic year and (optionally) for the 2 previous academic years are required. For each academic year, either or both Learner Responsive (Further Education) and Employer Responsive (Work Based Learning) return files may be used. This gives a maximum of 6 files (3 academic years, 2 types of return in each) that can be used to generate report data. Learning Aim Database (LAD) --------------------------- The Microsoft® Access database (all years) available for download from http://providers.lsc.gov.uk/LAD/downloads/LADdownload.asp is required. The 'all years' download contains data for the last 3 academic years. Other software -------------- Viewing of Help documentation and exported report data in specific file formats requires the appropriate software to be installed. As a minimum, both Microsoft® Excel (http://www.office.microsoft.com/excel) and Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html) are recommended. Installation ------------ If you are continuing to use versions for previous academic years please install to a different directory. Prior to installation, it is recommended that any existing beta or demo versions of this software are uninstalled. Using SCORE ----------- Always use the shortcut in your 'Start' menu or on your 'Desktop' to run the software. The initial setup wizard will guide you through the process of using the software for the first time. Please see the Help documentation for more details. Previewing reports ------------------ Before you are able to preview any reports a default printer must already be set up. The report menu is available by right-clicking in preview mode.
